    • Embodiments of the present invention relate to a system and method for providing three-dimensional (3D) images, which solve the problems of conventional transceiving apparatuses with respect to price/size, receiving scope restrictions, and loss of synchronizing signals, and which can efficiently extend the battery life of dedicated 3D glasses when providing an environment of 3D images or enabling a viewer to view 3D images through dedicated wireless 3D glasses. The system for providing 3D images according to the present invention is configured such that, when a synchronization control device transmits a radio signal which satisfies bidirectional communication standards and contains a synchronization signal for a predetermined 3D image, a dedicated glasses device for receiving the radio signal transmitted from the synchronization control device performs synchronization on the basis of the synchronization signal contained in the radio signal to control the on/off operations of each of the lenses for the two eyes watching the 3D image, respectively, and the dedicated glasses device pauses, after the synchronization process, a radio signal receiving function for receiving the radio signal for a preset power-saving mode period, and generates its own synchronization signal on the basis of said synchronization signal contained in the radio signal so as to control the on/off operations of each of the lenses for the two eyes watching the 3D image on the basis of its own synchronization signal.
