摘要： Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for the presentation of images in a head-mounted display (HMD). One HMD includes a screen, a processor, inertial sensors, a motion tracker module, and a display adjuster module. The motion tracker tracks motion of the HMD based on inertial data from the inertial sensors, and the display adjuster produces modified display data for an image frame to be scanned to the screen if the motion of the HMD is greater than a threshold amount of motion. The display data includes pixel values to be scanned to rows in sequential order, and the modified display data includes adjusted pixel values for pixels in a current pixel row of the image frame to compensate for the distance traveled by the HMD during a time elapsed between scanning a first pixel row of the image frame and scanning the current pixel row of the image frame.

Example systems for producing a three dimensional (3D) effect from displayed images are also described. aImages of a video program may be displayed in a complementary primary colors-encoded stereoscopic image format, which includes stereoscopic images of objects or a scene. Corresponding stereoscopic images are displayed in different colors. As the display refreshes, the display alternates the colors of the corresponding stereoscopic images and sends a control signal to active glasses worn by a viewer of the video program that causes a left-eye lens and right-eye lens filter to alternate the color which is filtered in by the respective filter. In other examples, active glasses are provided using both active and passive filtering.

The system for providing 3D images according to the present invention is configured such that, when a synchronization control device transmits a radio signal which satisfies bidirectional communication standards and contains a synchronization signal for a predetermined 3D image, a dedicated glasses device for receiving the radio signal transmitted from the synchronization control device performs synchronization on the basis of the synchronization signal contained in the radio signal to control the on/off operations of each of the lenses for the two eyes watching the 3D image, respectively, and the dedicated glasses device pauses, after the synchronization process, a radio signal receiving function for receiving the radio signal for a preset power-saving mode period, and generates its own synchronization signal on the basis of said synchronization signal contained in the radio signal so as to control the on/off operations of each of the lenses for the two eyes watching the 3D image on the basis of its own synchronization signal.
