    • Disclosed are a method for providing a logical space-based polymorphic service and a device using the same. The method for providing the logical space-based polymorphic service comprises the steps of: allowing a polymorphic service server to receive position information of a polymorphic service client and service request information, which is the information on a service that is requested from said polymorphic service client; and allowing said polymorphic service server to search for a dynamic resource that is available for providing the service on the basis of said position information and said service request information and to provide the service on the basis of said available dynamic resource. Thus, the invention can implement huge spaces as one service providing space by one unified method, and can construct a large-scale standardized ubiquitous environment by allowing individual services to be linked as one.

    • A service session resource manager (72) for use in a router (18) capable of routing a plurality of at least partially contemporaneous service sessions over a communications line is described which mediates between services competing for bandwidth. The service session manager (72) updates its internal state based on both mediation enabled (22b) and mediation non-enabled (22a) devices. The resource manager (72) comprises memory arranged to store a current resource utilisation indicator for a resource of said communications line, a service request processor arranged to process a new service session request from a client terminal to determine a required resource for said new service session over said communications line and to determine if the required resource is available in dependence on an available line rate and said current utilisation indicator, means to reserve the required resource, means to update said current utilisation indicator to indicate the allowed resource reservation; and means to respond to said requesting client that said resources have been reserved, wherein said current resource utilisation indicator is also updated by said service request processor to indicate a resource used by one or more service sessions established by one or more client terminals configured to send service requests over said communications line without requesting access to the service from said service session manager.

    • The inventive subject matter provides apparatus, systems, and methods of pre-loading (or caching) activatable content to several mobile devices for future use by at least one of the mobile devices. The mobile devices are communicatively coupled with each other to form a distribute storage network. The pre-loaded content can be used by applications executed in any one of the mobile devices within the network. A content server is configured to transmit portions of the content to the mobile devices upon detection that a subset of conditions within the multi-conditional content activation criteria has been satisfied. The content server is configured to transmit the entire content when all conditions within the multi-conditional content activation criteria has been satisfied. The content server then activates the content when a content activation event is detected.
