    • The invention relates to a transverse flux motor comprising at least one stator and at least one rotor. Magnetically active elements of the stator are formed in an annular manner and with a U-shaped inner contour on the stator and the rotor is in the form of a disk or a ring. The rotor comprises magnetically active sections consisting of a soft-magnetic or permanent-magnetic material, that are radially oriented in an annular manner towards at least one front surface of the rotor. The invention also relates to a drive method according to the transverse flux principle, whereby magnetically active sections of at least one disk-type or annular rotor, that are radially oriented in an annular manner towards at least one front surface of the rotor, interact with magnetically active elements having a U-shaped inner contour in an annular manner on at least one stator, in order to rotate the rotor. The aim of the invention is to provide a direct drive based on the transverse flux principle, by which means the direct drive can have a high level of torque and at the same time a weight which is as low as possible, a high level of reliability and an efficiency which is as constant as possible. To this end, a transverse flux motor of the above-mentioned type is provided, in which vertical profiled sections of the U-shaped inner contour are parallel to the axial orientation of the stator, and free ends of the vertical profiled sides of the U-shaped inner contour have poles at a distance from each other. A drive method of the above-mentioned type is also provided, where the magnetically active elements on the stator are at least three ring segments through which different currents pass. Vertical profiled sides of the U-shaped inner contour of the ring segments are parallel to the axial orientation of the stator, and free ends of the vertical profiled sides of the U-shaped inner contour have poles at a distance from each other. During each application of current, the rotor is moved in relation to the stator about a pole in the rotational direction. The rotor is outwardly connected to a rotating motor cage, such that an outer rotor motor is formed. A U-shaped carrier, that is connected to the stator as required, enables the motor to be positioned in another rotational axis.

    • Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Transversalflussmotor mit wenigstens einem Stator und wenigstens einem Rotor, wobei magnetisch aktive Elemente des Stators ringförmig und mit einem U-förmigen Innenprofil an den Stator ausgebildet sind und der Rotor scheiben- oder ringförmig ausgebildet ist, wobei der Rotor magnetisch aktive Stege aus weichmagnetischem oder permanentmagnetischem Material aufweist, die ringförmig in radialer Ausrichtung auf wenigstens einer Stirnfläche des Rotors vorgesehen sind, sowie ein Antriebsverfahren nach dem Transversalflussprinzip, wobei magnetisch aktive Stege wenigstens eines scheiben- oder ringförmigen Rotors, die ringförmig in radialer Ausrichtung auf wenigstens einer Stirnfläche des Rotors angeordnet sind, mit ringförmig an wenigstens einem Stator vorgesehenen magnetisch aktiven Elementen mit einem U-förmigen Innenprofil zusammenwirken, um den Rotor in Rotation zu versetzen. Es ist die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, einen Direktantrieb auf Basis des Transversalflussprinzips zur Verfügung zu stellen, mit dem ein hohes Drehmoment bei gleichzeitig möglichst geringem Gewicht, hoher Zuverlässigkeit und möglichst gleichbleibender Effektivität des Direktantriebs zur Verfügung stellen kann. Diese Aufgabe wird zum einen durch einen Transversalflussmotor der oben genannten Gattung, bei welchem senkrechte Profilseiten des U-förmigen Innenprofils parallel zur axialen Ausrichtung des Stators ausgerichtet sind und freie Enden der senkrechten Profilseiten des U-förmigen Innenprofils voneinander beabstandete Pole aufweisen, sowie durch ein Antriebsverfahren der oben genannten Gattung gelöst, bei welchem die magnetisch aktiven Elemente an dem Stator wenigstens drei Ringsegmente sind, die unterschiedlich bestromt werden, wobei senkrechte Profilseiten des U-förmigen Innenprofils der Ringsegmente parallel zur axialen Ausrichtung des Stators ausgerichtet sind, und freie Enden der senkrechten Profilseiten des U-förmigen Innenprofils voneinander beabstandete Pole aufweisen und wobei bei jeder Bestromung der Rotor in Relation zu dem Stator um einen Pol in Rotationsrichtung bewegt wird. Der Rotor ist nach außen hin mit einem rotierenden Motorkäfig verbunden, sodass ein Außenläufermotor entsteht. Ein U-förmiger Träger, der bedarfsweise mit dem Stator verbunden ist, erlaubt die Positionierung des Motors in einer weiteren Rotationsachse.
