摘要： The invention regards a battery system comprising at least one battery cell including a first electrode, a second electrode and a separator for separating the first electrode and second electrode, a short-circuit line for short-circuiting the first electrode and second electrode, wherein the shortcut line includes a switch for selectively opening and closing the short-circuit line, a control device for actuating the switch to close the shortcut line after detection of a damage zone with an internal shortcut of the battery cell, wherein a local temperature at the damaged zone is limited to a predefined first maximum value and the overall temperature of the battery cell is limited to a second maximum value, wherein the first maximum value is higher than the second maximum value, and wherein the separator comprises a medium adapted to block ionic conductivity when heated above a temperature of a minimum value, which is lower than the second maximum value.

摘要： A prismatic lithium ion battery cell includes a packaging having a cover sealed to a can, wherein the cover includes a reversal disk. A conductive member is disposed above the reversal disk and a power assembly is disposed within the packaging. A first terminal pad and a second terminal pad are disposed above the conductive member and respectively coupled to the power assembly. The reversal disk is configured to deflect upwards and to displace the conductive member to contact the first and second terminal pads in response to a pressure within the packaging being greater than a first predefined pressure threshold and thereby form an external short-circuit between the first and second terminal pads via the conductive member. Subsequently, a portion of the power assembly fails in response to the external short-circuit and interrupts current flow between the first and second terminal pads.

摘要： A dynamic power control circuit is provided. The control circuit can detect the presence of the external power source as well as detect one or more conditions of the device. For instance, the control circuit can detect a voltage difference between a first node coupling a first power output and a system circuit and a second node coupling a second power output and the batteries. The control circuit can also detect the activation or deactivation of the external power source. Based on the inputs, the control circuit can cause the controlled resistor to dynamically adjust a level of impedance between the first node and the second node. The controlled impedance between the first node and the second node enables the system circuit to dynamically utilize power supplied by the external power source as well as power supplied by the batteries.
