    • 본 발명은 자석의 척력을 이용한 자기력 극대화 방법으로서, 한정된 두께에서 자기력의 효과를 극대화하기 위한 것이다. 이를 실현하기 위하여 본 발명은, 1개의 자석을 두 개로 나누어 같은 극 즉, N극과 N극 또는 S극과 S극을 합체하여 고정했을 때, 자석의 척력으로 인하여 N극의 자속밀도가 최고치(18)에 이르고, 홀자석(14)과 돌출자석(10)을 밀착 고정하였을 때, 높은 자기력이 발생하고 홀자석(14) 또는 돌출자석(10)이 퉁기어 나가지 않도록 하기 위하여 돌출자석을 사출할 때 돌출부에 암나사를 내고, 수나사로 홀자석과 고정할 수 있도록 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.

    • A bi-stable magnetic switch assembly (600) comprises a stator (602) having an axis and first and second magnetic portions (622) angularly disposed there around, and a rotor (604) having at least one magnetic region (630, 634, 636) attracted to the first and second portions (622). The rotor (604) is configured for rotation about the axis between 1) a first latched position wherein the region (630, 634, 636) resides proximate to, but is spaced apart from, the first portion (622); and 2) a second latched position wherein the region (630, 634, 636) resides proximate to, but is spaced apart from, the second portion (622). A spring biases the rotor (604) to a position where the region (630, 634, 636) resides intermediate the first and second portions (622). A coil (626), which is associated with at least one of the first portion (622), the second portion (622), and the region (630, 634, 636), may be energized to reduce the force of attraction between the region (630, 634, 636) and the first and second portions (622) when in the first and second latched positions, respectively.

    • A magnetic spring actuator comprising a ring, a piston movably disposed inside of the ring, and a non-magnetic holding cylinder. At least one of the ring and the piston is magnetic. Due to a magnetic force caused by at least one of the ring and the piston, the piston is initially located in a first position with respect to the ring. Application of an outside force results in movement of the piston to a second position with respect to the ring. The magnetic force produces a return force for causing the piston to return to the first position with respect to the ring. Alternatively, the piston can be fixed and the ring can be adapted for moving with respect to the piston in similar manner. A bi-metal coil spring may be wound around the piston.
