摘要： A magnetic core used in a magnetic sensor of a diskette type memory card adapter is manufactured by laminating a plurality of rapidly solidified alloy sheets and by punching the alloy laminate. This lamination is carried out with a hot-melt adhesive. A heat treatment is made at a temperature of 180 to 220 DEG C before the punching, or at a temperature of 180 to 540 DEG C after the punching. The direction of the length of the magnetic gap of the magnetic core is perpendicular to the direction of magnetic anisotropy of the sheets.

摘要： A shield and pole material with reduced magnetostriction is used which preserves good magnetic characteristics. This material is used in recording heads in tape and disk drives. The material is a repeating sequence of three layers. One layer is FeX(N) where the (N) indicates a nitrogenated film and the additional element, X, is preferentially Ta but can be selected from a group of elements. Another layer is made from a NiFe alloy. The third layer, disposed between the FeX(N) and NiFe layers is tantalum. The sequence of three layers is repeated to build the required thickness for the final material.

摘要： A magnetic head having a long still endurance time and little wearing and a magnetic recorder/reproducer equipped with a high speed rotary drum comprising the magnetic head. At least part of the face of the substrate sliding on a magnetic tape is made of a nonmagnetic single crystal ferrite material. The crystal orientation of the ferrite material at the sliding face is {110}, and the direction is generally in parallel with the sliding direction of the magnetic head with respect to the magnetic tape.

摘要： A magnetic head is constituted by a block composed of a magnetic core made of sputtered amorphous magnetic alloy layers (2a, 2b) formed on a non-magnetic substrate (1), a non-magnetic ceramic layer (4) provided on the sputtered layer (2b), and a non-magnetic substrate (5) bonded to the non-magnetic ceramic layer (4) by a bonding glass layer (6). Since the sputtered amorphous magnetic alloy layer (2b) and the bonding glass layer (6) are isolated from each other by the nonmagnetic ceramic layer (4), the properties of the bonding glass layer (6) are protected and do not change, and so a firm bonding strength is maintained. The amorphous ceramic layer (4) is also firmly bonded to the sputtered layer (2b), so that a highly reliable magnetic head can be realized.

摘要： A magnetic transducer of the erasing type, in which the coil (22) is pre-wound to achieve greater manufacturing economy; and in which for the same reason, and also for electromagnetic operating efficiency, the core (21) is laminated with each lamination being of one-piece fabrication. However, the single transducing gap (27) in the core (21) is too small to permit threading the coil (22) thereon. Therefore, the core is formed of flexible material so that the gap can be enlarged to accept the coil during assembly. Alternatively, the core can be fabricated initially with an enlarged gap, and the flexible core is then bent to provide a desired gap length after the coil is assembled thereon. A variational form of the invention has two erase gaps and one record-play gap with a separate coil therefor.
