摘要： A method for detecting counterfeited and stolen merchandises based upon Content Protection for Recordable Media (CPRM) technology is disclosed. This method comprises the steps of marking object or group of objects with a readable identifier during the manufacturing, associating an independent authenticity certificate to the objects during their manufacturing, the authenticity certificate comprising at least the object identifier, the manufacturer certificate and the brand company certificate, being impossible to copy, to counterfeit, and to falsify, and by adding new records comprising the retailer certificates to the authenticity certificate. CPRM technology is used to encode the content of the authenticity certificate that contains an encrypted title key determined by hashing the media key and the media identifier, the certificate content encrypted using the brand company private key, or a random generated key, the media key block set by the media manufacturer, and the media identifier also set by the media manufacturer.

摘要： The present invention provides (with reference to Figure 1) a monitoring system for monitoring production of optical disks by replication machines (14) at a number of different production facilities (12, 13, 30, 31, 32). The system has a central computer (18) which records the production activity of all of the monitored replication machines (14) for central monitoring in order to identify production of unauthorised disks. the invention also teaches how a master stamper can include an identifier code which can be used to identify unauthorised copies. The invention further teaches how local monitoring of replication machines (14) can be conducted in order to determine the number of copies produced by the machines (14). The invention additionally provides a method in which a signature code is recorded on a master stamper and fingerprint information derived from content on the master stamper. The signature code and the fingerprint information are stored together on a database. An optical disk can be authenticated by reading from it a recorded signature code and deriving fingerprint information for the recorded content and then consulting the database.

A key to encrypt the information is generated on the basis of a unique information contained in a system such as a computer of a user viewing the information. In case where the recording medium in which information encrypted as such is recorded is transferred to a user, he/she use the key generated from his/her own system as a decrypting key in decrypting the encrypted information. Thus, a user can view the information only in the authenticated computer.

摘要： A Digital Rights Management (DRM) system is provided that reduces time for a move transaction using DTCP-IP when a copy is moved back or checked back in to an originating Personal Video Recorder (PVR). During a DTCP MOVE transaction, instead of transferring the full asset in a check back in operation to the PVR, a unique and abbreviated representation of the original copy of the asset would be made for the transfer. This abbreviated representation takes the form of a hash constructed from a hashing function which uses characteristics of the asset as inputs. This hash will have to be a unique and near guaranteed indicator of the original content, to a high probability, so that the copy control system could live up to the spirit of the DTCP spec and the DLNA interoperability guidelines.
