    • The present disclosure relates to searching electric power system waveforms. Disclosed herein are various systems and methods for improving search performance through indexing electric power system waveforms using waveform attributes such as frequency, amplitude, angle, rate of change, and the like. According to some embodiments, multiple indexes may be used together to find information of interest. A reference signal may be utilized according to some embodiments. Normalizing a plurality of waveforms using a reference signal may facilitate the use of an index for comparing two arbitrary waveforms. This disclosure also relates to detecting and indexing islanding conditions in an electric power system. Various embodiments may utilize information relating to islanding conditions in connection with search operations.

    • A B S T R A C T In dictionary retrieval processing by the electronic dictionary, if a headword matching a retrieval object word is not stored in a built-in dictionary data, the retrieval object word is registered in the form of a network-dictionary retrieval object listing. If a network dictionary retrieval is performed through connection to the dictionary server, a dictionary storing the registered retrieval word is retrieved in the dictionary server, is transmitted to the electronic dictionary, and is displayed. When the displayed dictionary in the network dictionary retrieval is selected, dictionary data is retrieved from the target of the selected dictionary, the dictionary contents corresponding to the retrieval word retrieved in the dictionary server is transmitted to the user electronic dictionary and is displayed.     • Embodiments of the invention upon current systems by allowing users to dynamically generate and repeatedly modify the appearance of any set of tabular data. When the system obtains input relating to formatting the table, the appearance of the table is dynamically modified so the users can instantaneously view any changes to the table caused by the input (e.g., WYSIWYG). Users provide input (e.g. layout information) that relates to various types of pivot operations, sorting operation, and/or merging operations performed on the table. The user may, for example, select a certain field and then initiate a pivot operation using the selected field. The system is configured in accordance with one embodiment of the invention so that the layout information is stored independent of and/or associated with the table data.
