摘要： A receiver having an image side and a non-image side bent in a bend area including a bend axis. Toner is deposited on the image side of the receiver in the bend area using an electrophotographic print engine. The deposited toner is fused to the receiver. During or after fusing, the fused toner is heated to a selected fusing temperature greater than or equal to the Tg of the toner. A heat-shrinkable film is affixed to the heated toner after heating the toner, wherein the Tg of the film is greater than the Tg of the toner. The toner is cooled below its Tg after affixing the film. The bend area of the receiver is reheated after cooling the toner, so that the temperature of the heat-shrinkable film rises above its Tg, the heat-shrinkable film contracts, and the receiver bends at the bend axis.

摘要： A tape supplier and a refill cartridge for a binding apparatus are disclosed, which can prevent a supply error of a tape from occurring and facilitate supply of the tape. Also, an outer surface of the tape is not contaminated by an additive when the tape is supplied. A tape cassette (156) constituting the tape supplier includes a first rotational shaft (91) rotatably supporting a tape roll (140), a second rotational shaft (92) designed to collect a sheet (127) a of the tape roll by winding the same in a roll type, a third rotational shaft (93) designed to collect a sheet (127b) by winding the same in a roll type, and a tape ejection roller assembly 95 outwardly ejecting a tape provided between the two sheets. A refill cartridge (120) is designed (15) such that the tape roll (140) having tapes (132a, 132b), ... inserted between the sheets is fixed to a first fork pipe (121) having a through hole at the center, outer ends of the sheets are respectively fixed to a second fork pipe (122) and a third fork pipe (123) each having a through hole at (20) the center, and the first to third fork pipes are supported inside an external box (130). A device compresses the deposited toner to form a toner film using a heated anvil and a selectively-cooled quencher that stretch and cooled the toner in the bend area below its Tg to form a toner film disposed over the surface of the receiver in the bend area. A heater reheats the bend area of the receiver so that temperature of the toner in the bend area rises above its Tg, so that the toner contracts and the receiver bends at the bend axis.
