摘要： The invention concerns a device and a method for controlling the protective temperature and alkalinity reserve of a cooling liquid, obtained by diluting an anti-freeze compound containing carboxylic compounds. The device comprises at least a refractometer, pH paper and a test tube in a portable closed chamber. The invention is characterised in that the test tube is graduated in protective temperature, each division corresponding to a volume X of cooling liquid having a known protective temperature varying with the dilution rate C of said anti-freeze compound in the water, and a minimal required alkalinity reserve, X corresponding to (10 x VA)/(RA x C), VA being the volume of acid, RA the alkalinity reserve and C the anti-freeze compound concentration in the cooling liquid, expressed in percentage.

A single-phase, non-aqueous, reactive titration composition (1) containing bismuth nitrate dissolved in glycerol is added to the test solution (10). Bismuth nitrate and glycerol react with the surfactant(s) to form micelles, change micelle size or form insoluble bismuth soaps. The reaction products are measured by potentiometer or turbidimeter (13) and the measurement correlated to surfactant concentration.

摘要： A system for determining parameters and compatibility of a substance such as an asphalt or other petroleum substance uses titration to highly accurately determine one or more flocculation occurences and is especially applicable to the determination or use of Heithaus parameters and optimal mixing of various asphalt stocks. in a preferred embodiment, automated titration in an oxygen gas exclusive system and further using spectrophotometric analysis (2-8) of solution turbidity is presented. A reversible titration technique enabling in-situ titration measurement of various solution concentrations is also presented.
