    • A modular apparatus (1) for the recovery of heat and for the purification of fumes coming from a boiler is described, said apparatus (1) comprising an inlet (5) adapted to receive the outlet fumes from the boiler, a heat exchanger module (2), a fume purification module (3) and an outlet (13) connected to a flue.     • The invention discloses a method for operating a co-generation system comprising a boiler (1), an evaporator (2), an expansion machine (4) and a condenser (6).
