    • This invention relates to an apparatus for combustion of biofuels, preferably pellets, comprising a container for the fuel, which is connected with a combustion furnace via a feeder device for the fuel, a pipe part being connected to the combustion furnace and projecting out from this one so that when coupling together the apparatus with a boiler the pipe part projects into the boiler, and an ignition pipe or the like being positioned in that way in the apparatus that it is possible to ignite the fuel in the combustion furnace from the outside, whereafter the combustion is maintained by supply of fuel and combustion air. According to the invention the apparatus is characterized by the fact that the feeder means is designed in that way that the fuel by its own weight is removed from the container (1) to the combustion furnace (2), and that the feeder means comprises two straight, concentric pipes (5, 6), the lower part of the outer pipe (5) being connected to the roof portion of the combustion furnace and surrounds a lower hole (8) there, whereas the upper part of the pipe (5) is connected to the lower part of the container and surrounds an upper hole (9) there, and the inner pipe (6) being intended to be able to go through at least the mentioned lower hole (8) and being displaceably arranged in relation to the outer pipe, so that the size of the fuel stack of the combustion furnace can be varied by the displacement of the inner pipe.

    • A burner head for combusting solid fuels such as straw, peat, chips, coal etc., comprising a charging opening (11) for the fuel and a discharge opening (15) for flue gases. The method is characterised in that the temperature of the water in the hot water conduit is measured, that the measured value is transmitted into a control unit (300), and that the rate of a first motor (34), here called stirring motor, which is provided to rotate said rotatable device for stirring the fuel in the burner, the rate of the fan motor, and the rate of the fuel charge feeding motor are regulated by command from the control unit in dependency of the measured value of the temperature of the water in the hot water conduit which is transmitted to the control unit and in dependency of the heating effect that the burner shall generate according to a control program which is stored in a computer in the control unit, in order that a certain desired temperature of the water in the hot water conduit shall be achieved and be maintained. The invention also concerns a combustion apparatus for automatized combustion of solid fuel.

    • The present invention relates to a method for controlling, in a burner (1) for solid fuel, such as pellets, wood chips, etc., the supply of air necessary for the combustion, whereby primary air is introduced into an inner burner tube (2) through openings (10, 11) in the wall of the tube, said inner burner tube forming a combustion chamber (2a) for the gasification of the fuel, and whereby secondary air for the combustion of the formed gases is supplied through a space (5a) formed between the inner burner tube and an outer burner tube (5) and through a secondary air opening (8) formed in the region of free ends of the inner and outer burner tubes. According to the invention the temperature of the combustion of the formed gases is continuously detected and the supply of primary and secondary air is controlled proportionally, directly depending upon the detected temperature.
