    • An illumination system (1, 100, 200, 300) for providing an optically widened perception comprises a reflector unit (6, 206, 306) comprising a reflective surface (8A) and a luminous layer (10, 210, 310) for homogenously emitting diffuse light at a first color, the luminous layer (10, 210, 310) extending in front of the reflective surface (8A) and comprising a visible front area section (10A, 210A, 310A) of the reflector unit (6, 206, 306), which extends up to a first boundary (12A, 310A) and through which the diffuse light is emitted. The illumination system (1, 100, 200, 300) comprises further a light projector (2, 202, 302) configured to generate a light beam (3, 203, 303) adapted in size for comprehensively illuminating the visible front area section (10A, 210A, 310A) such that at least a portion of the light beam (3, 203, 303) passes through the luminous layer (10, 210, 310) before and after being reflected by the reflective surface (8A), thereby forming an illuminating light beam (3A) at a second color associated with a direct light correlated color temperature, and wherein the first color and the second color are separated in color space. The illumination system (1, 100, 200, 300) is further configured such that a perceivable light emission from a frame-like area next to and surrounding the visible front area (10A, 210A, 310A) section is essentially independent from the light beam (3, 203, 303) of the light projector (2, 202, 302).

    • A lighting system and method for generating an output light beam representative of a target natural light are provided. The lighting system includes a plurality of solid-state light emitters each emitting a light sub-beam having an individual spectrum. The individual spectra of the solid-state light emitters collectively cover a visible portion of the natural light spectral profile and exclude infrared and ultraviolet components. The lighting system further includes a combining assembly combining the light sub-beams into the output light beam. A control module controls an intensity of the light sub-beam from each of the solid-state light emitters such that the resulting combined spectral profile of the output light beam is representative of a natural light spectral profile of the target natural light over its visible portion.

    • A light emitting arrangement (100), comprising: • - a light source (101) comprising a light out-coupling surface, adapted to emit light of a first wavelength range; and • - a wavelength converting member (102) capable of converting light of said wavelength range into light of a second wavelength range, the wavelength converting member (102) being arranged at a distance from the light source (101) and centrally aligned with the light out-coupling surface light source (101), and being arranged to receive and partially convert a central portion of the light emitted by the light source (101) while allowing light emitted by the light source (101) in a peripheral direction to pass beside the wavelength converting member (102). In this way the light emitting arrangement (100) provides light of first color in a normal direction and a light of another non-converted color in a peripheral direction, which may give a more realistic impression of daylight.
