    • This invention concerns a fuel injection system for diesel motors consisting of a housing (1), a piston pump (5) which can be controlled, and an injection nozzle (4) connected to it which has a nozzle chamber (25). The housing (1) has a fuel supply chamber (23) fed from without and a return port (24) leading out. The piston pump (5) has a piston liner (6) with control apertures (17) guided by a tappet (20) fixed to the housing. The tappet (20) contains a first longitudinal bore (39) leading from the inside (18) of the piston liner (6) to the injection nozzle (4). To improve the seal and the through flow, the piston liner (6) is surrounded by a sealing sleeve (50) which forms with the outer wall of the liner (6) a closed sealed chamber (53). The tappet (20) has a second longitudinal bore (57) which stands in flow connection on one side with the fuel supply chamber (23) and on the other side with the sealed chamber (53) by means of a first cross bore (54). The sealed chamber (53) stands in flow connection with the return port (24) by means of a second cross bore (58) and a third longitudinal bore (59) in the tappet (20).
