    • The present invention concerns a rock bolt (1) to be embedded in a borehole (2), comprising an extended energy-absorbing part (4), the first end (11) of the energy-absorbing part (4) comprising an anchor (12) and the second end (15) of the energy-absorbing part (4) comprising a screw joint (16) for prestressing of the rock bolt (1). The rock bolt (1) comprises an extended tubular part (3) with a jacket (7) and a first end section (5) and a second end section (6), with an internal dimension that is larger than the external dimension of the energy-absorbing part (4) and arranged in such a manner that it surrounds the energy- absorbing part (4). The invention concerns also a method for the manufacture of such a rock bolt.

    • This invention discloses an underground rock anchoring system comprising a rock bolt having a bolt shaft operatively locatable in an elongate rectilinear hole drilled into a hanging wall such that an end portion of the bolt shaft protrudes from the hole, the bolt shaft having a side wall defining a hollow internal chamber extending along at least part of the length of the bolt shaft, a bearing plate adapted to be fitted over the protruding end portion of the bolt shaft for bearing against a rock surface of the hanging wall; and fastening means for pulling the bearing plate taut against the rock surface of the hanging wall. The invention also extends to a rock anchoring method in which such system is used.

    • The invention provides a stressing device, a nose cone for a stressing device, a locking device for a stressing assembly, a locking assembly for a stressing assembly, a stressing assembly and to a method of installing a stressing device in civil engineering and mining. A first aspect of the invention provides for reading installation parameters provided on a component of the stressing assembly, when installing the stressing assembly and using these parameters to install the stressing assembly. A third aspect provides a stressing device for stressing a stressing assembly, which includes a data storage unit for storing an installation parameter of the stressing assembly when it is installed and extends to a corresponding method of installing a stressing assembly which includes storing installation parameters of the stressing assembly and transferring the data subsequently to an administrative system.
