One well system includes a deflector arranged within a main bore of a wellbore and defining a first channel that exhibits a predetermined diameter and communicates with a lower portion of the main bore, and a second channel that communicates with a lateral bore, and a bullnose assembly including a body and a bullnose tip arranged at a distal end of the body, the bullnose tip being actuatable between a default configuration, where the bullnose tip exhibits a first diameter, and an actuated configuration, where the bullnose tip exhibits a second diameter different than the first diameter, wherein the deflector is configured to direct the bullnose assembly into one of the lateral bore and the lower portion of the main bore based on a diameter of the bullnose tip as compared to the predetermined diameter.

    • A lateral liner tie back system and method includes a base sub having a tapered upper end surface. The base sub may be positioned in a main bore at a window to a lateral bore. The tapered upper end surface of the base sub may direct a junction sub from the main bore partially into the lateral bore such that an end of an existing liner positioned within the lateral bore is disposed within a central bore of the junction sub. The system may also include a tie back sub that is lowered through the junction sub into the lateral bore. The tie back sub includes threads for engaging the end of the existing liner in the lateral bore. The lateral liner tie back system may selectively direct a tool that is lowered in the main bore into the lateral bore or prevent the tool from entering the lateral bore.

The valve is operable to form a dynamic seal. The power conduit is operable to convey both power and a pre-designated control signal simultaneously. A method for accessing the production zone of the well bore with a well bore tool uses the submersible pump system while the submersible pump system is producing production zone fluid. The submersible pumping device continues to operate without interruption after transmission of the predesignated pump control signal.
