摘要： A cylinder lock having a body and a modified cam, the cylinder lock being adapted for moving an external element arranged to engage the modified cam, so that the external element slides axially on the cylinder lock body. In a preferred embodiment, the inventive cylinder lock is designed to utilize a helical cam which engages a movable sleeve, and this design is referred to as the HC cylinder lock. When operated by rotating the appropriate key within it, the movable sleeve can be moved in a linear fashion along the length of the HC cylinder lock thus converting rotational motion of the key to axial motion of the external element. This axial motion is used to position at least one locking bolt, of which the sleeve itself may be one, for the function of locking or unlocking a device. The streamlined design of the inventive HC cylinder lock enables efficient placement of a door lock within the hollow volume of a door.

The bushing (16) has radial slots (28) which interface with a detent mechanism (30) formed in an angular bore (32) drilled through the axial bore lower wall (33) from a rear face (21) of the retainer. A rotation limiting mechanism (38, 40 and 42) is formed near the front face (22) of the retainer in the axial bore (14). The retainer provides for maximization of material thickness at the retainer's critical load bearing areas while reducing the overall material volume.

摘要： A rotary latch assembly (10) for a galley cart compartment door (12) is disclosed comprising a barrel member (16) rotating on a spindle (18) and a handle (14) connected to the barrel member. An interfering block (34) outside the barrel member can prevent rotation of the barrel member when engaged with the barrel member, and be displaced by a lock button (32) diametrically opposed with the interfering block.
