    • A changeable lock assembly (10) suitable for re-keying a lock without disassembly of the lock. The assembly includes a housing (12) having a bore (14) therein, and a plug (16) rotatably mounted in the bore (14). The plug (16) includes a longitudinal axis (50) and a keyway (24). The keyway (24) is adapted to receive at least a first user key (30) and a second user key (62). The lock further includes a change member (56) movable within the lock between a first position to a second position. The change member (56) can move solely in response to operation of the second key (62). Thus, when the change member (56) is in the first position, the first key (30) operates the lock, and when the change member (56) is in the second position, the first key (30) does not operate the lock. The lock assembly can also employ a change tool (64) that, when inserted into a change slot (88), can move a change ball (56) from the second position back to the first position.

    • A break-in resistant lock (1) comprising a box-like containment body (2) provided with openings (3) along one of its perimetric faces for the passage of at least one spring-latch and at least one bolt. The bolt- is actuated by means of a respective band that performs a translational motion and in turn is actuated to perform a translational motion by way of the rotations of at least one key; the rotations of the at least one key are dependent upon the movement into the disengagement configuration, with respect to an adapted fixed pivot on the band, of a plurality of combination plates, each constituted by a lamina and a complementary lamina which are mutually mated and can be uncoupled by means of a lever system (4) which is operated with a tool (5) from outside through a respective hole (6). The lever system (4) comprises a translating rod (7) and a contoured arm (8) which can rotate with respect to a pivoting axis (9). The rod (7) can move from a first inactive configuration, in which one of its edges (10) is substantially aligned with and proximate to a portion (11) of the arm (8), preventing its rotation, to a second enabling configuration, in which, by means of the tool (5) inserted in the hole (6) in axial compression of the rod (7), an end (12) of the rod (7) rests on a tab (13) of the arm (8), which is substantially eccentric with respect to the axis (9). In this second configuration the arm (8) is turned through a predefined angle and interferes, by means of its end stem (14), with the complementary laminas for their uncoupling from the respective laminas.

    • A programmable combination lock with keyed lock override is disclosed. The lock employs a stack of rings and dial wheels, with a mechanism for coupling and decoupling the rings and dial wheels. A user can program a custom code by unlocking the combination and rotating the inner and outer dial wheels until the desired code is indicated, and then locking the combination lock to set the code. A keyed lock with a master key couples to the combination lock and can override a combination lock in the locked state. The keyed lock allows multiple keys to lock and unlock the combination lock. In the event that a user loses the master key, the user can use the second key to create a new lock combination to operate the lock, yet render the lost master key inoperable.
