    • A method, forming panel and system provide for monolithic pouring of concrete columns, beams and elevated decks. The forming panel may be variously sized and dimensioned to serve as a beam forming member or a column forming member, and includes a frame having at least one reinforcing member having a plurality of penetration indicators which are not in registry, at least initially, with any opening in a face plate of the form. The penetration indicators serve as markers and preferably guide templates for drilling openings at preselected locations in the face plate at corresponding to the indicators. The openings so drilled are part of coupler-receiving passages, whereby forms may be variously configured in different dimensions or arrangements. The forms may be configured to provide column form assemblies, beam form assemblies, or receive floor forms in a variety of configurations, and may be readily reconfigured and reused by plugging openings which are in currently undesired locations.

    • A system and method for forming an elevated deck and support beam within a structure enables the pouring of one or a succession of superposed decks above a floor or other supporting surface. The system includes a plurality of profiles which alone or in combination define concrete-receiving reservoirs for forming poured in place support beams, with the elevated deck being poured contemporaneously therewith for support on the beams. The profiles include first and second preferably divergent sidewalls which are connected by middle member which serves as a base or bridge between the sidewalls. The profiles are complementally configured to nest with one another to provide a span across structural walls, and may be provided with complementally configured end caps.

    • The invention provides for a removable former which is interlockable with other, similar formers between spaced-apart ribs to form shuttering between the ribs for a reinforced concrete slab. The former includes a hollow block (110) which has a top face (112), a front face (114), a rear face, two opposed side faces (116) and an interlocking flange (118) on or below each of the side faces for interlocking the hollow block, side by side, with adjacent, similar hollow blocks. The interlocking flanges (118) extend from the side faces (116) so that when the hollow block is interlocked with an adjacent hollow block, a gap is formed between adjacent side faces of the interlocked blocks. The former also includes a support member (122) for supporting the hollow block (110) on two of the spaced-apart ribs during casting of the concrete slab. The support member (122) includes a pair of connectors (124) which are arranged to connect the support member to the front and rear faces of the hollow block (110) and to extend outwardly from the front and rear faces for engaging the two ribs during casting of the concrete slab. The support member (122) also includes two restraining limbs (128) which are connectable to one another for restraining inward displacement of the connectors and hence the front and rear faces of the hollow block (110) during casting of the concrete slab. A plurality of openings (134) are provided for drawing the connectors (124) off the ribs after the concrete has set.

    • A method and apparatus for forming a formwork for a ribbed or waffle concrete slab, the apparatus including a rectangular block (having a ledge around the base, the ledge having a dimension of half the desired width of the base ribs of the concrete slab, and a keystone connector. The keystone connector has an engagement portion configured to engage with an engagement portion on each block. In a preferred method the blocks are laid out so that the ledges of adjacent blocks are in contact. A keystone connector is then placed at each intersection of four blocks by engaging the respective engagement portions of the keystone connector and each block, so that the keystone connector holds each of the four blocks in place relative to one another. The keystone connector is also configured to retain a reinforcing rod laid in the channel between adjacent blocks.
