摘要： A method of releasably fastening objects together includes providing a first object (101, 201, 701, 901, 1101, 1301) with a continuous hook fastener membrane (100, 200, 700, 900, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1500, 1500') having a base of thermoplastic resin and an array of hook fastener elements (102, 202, 702, 902, 1102, 1202, 1302, 1502) formed contiguously with resin of one side of base; and releasably engaging complementary loop fastener elements (104, 204, 704, 904, 1104, 1204, 1304, 1504) of a second object (103, 203, 703, 903, 1103, 1203, 1303, 1503) to the fastener selements of the first object. The method is improved wherein the base of the fastener membrane is a permanently stretched sheet of resin having a width of at least 61 cm (2 feet), a length greater than its width and a thickness of less than about 0.38 mm (0.015 inch). Advantageous variations of fastening membranes, and methods of making and using them in building storing/protecting, and decorating applications are also disclosed.

摘要： A roof structure 10 comprises panels 14 and 16 of desired length each having a galvanized steel supportive layer which has side supporting flanges 22 interconnected together to form the roof assembly 10. The mid portion 20 of each panel has a photovoltaic surface made from amorphous semiconductor material which is laminated onto the galvanized steel with a protective plastic transparent polymer coating laminated above the photovoltaic material. The laminated galvanized steel and the photovoltaic layers are rolled into a coil and transported on site where it is unrolled, cut to size having the flanges formed to construct the rigid panels and having the panels assembled together via clips 26 and weather-proof battens 32. The photovoltaic surfaces are connected together via electrical conduit 34 coupled through couplings 88 under the panels and between the frame members 30.

摘要： A protected membrane roof system for installation on a roof decking comprising an upper insulation board having an upwardly-facing upper board top surface and an opposite downwardly-facing upper board bottom surface and at least one through-hole communicating therebetween, a ballast material positioned over the upper insulation board, a netting positioned over the ballast material, and at least one fastener assembly having a base seated substantially adjacent the upper board bottom surface, a rod extending substantially vertically from the base of sufficient size so as to extend through the through-hole of the upper insulation board, the ballast material, and the netting, and a cap engaged with the rod above the netting, whereby the wind uplift resistance of the protected membrane roof system is improved and scour of the ballast material is reduced by effectively anchoring the netting to the upper insulation board beneath the ballast material.
