    • A nodal assembly for a node-bar system comprises a node (10) composed of two clamping pieces (26, 28) which can be assembled by means of a central screw (18) and which have diametrically opposed circular recesses (50) for receiving the ends (42) of the rods to be inserted. The recesses have concentric, axially offset ridges and grooves which engage by friction-type locking with the rod ends. The screw (18) can be connected with at least one other rod parallel to it. Between the parts of the ridges and grooves (26-28) of the clamping pieces facing the node centre and parts of the ridges and grooves of the rod ends facing said parts are circular orifices, while the other parts of the ridges and grooves of the clamping pieces co-operate with the facing parts of the rod ends.
