The conveying element housing (76) of the liquid pump (36) comprises a removable unit (82) forming a section of the conveying element housing (76). The removable unit (82) is adapted to be manually removed by a user. When the removable unit (82) is removed from the liquid pump (36), at least a portion of the conveying element (70) or the inner volume (90) of the conveying element housing (76) is exposed for user maintenance.
