    • The present invention is related to a device for removing impurities from an agricultural fibrous material. In addition, the invention is related to a method for obtaining the same. The device according to the invention comprises: a processing unit (4) having an inlet (16), an outlet (38), and a first (18) and second holding member (19) defining a holding space there between for holding said material, wherein at least said first holding member is moveable; a drive unit for driving at least said first moveable holding member to obtain a compression and expansion of said holding space; an impurities collection unit (5) coupled to or disposed in said processing unit to collect impurities released from said material; The compression and expansion of the holding space ensures an effective release of impurities from the fibers of the material.

    • A disperser comprises a housing (1), a rotor (2) that is accommodated within the housing, a plurality of accelerating blades (5) disposed on both sides of the rotor. Input (4) and output (6) channels coaxially located on opposite sides of the rotor, and a core barrel (8) having tangential slots (9) that is located coaxially between the cylindrical wall of the housing and faces edges of the rotor's accelerating blades. The core barrel and housing together form an annular cavity (10) that is in communication with a tangential channel (11) intended for supplying air. The output channel is in the form of a cylindrical tube of continuous cross-section containing partitions installed radially along said tube. Application of the disperser permits dispersal of materials and production of a uniform swirl-free flow of aerosuspension. The disperser produces a flow of aerosuspension having a uniform distribution of particles at the device output, and decreases the probability of collisions that can result in bundling, or coagulation, of dispersed particles.

    • A system (10) is provided for treating a mixture (12) containing desired materials (14) and contaminating plastic materials (16) for separation at a subsequent material processing stage. The system (10) comprises a treatment station (18), guiding means (24, 25, 30) for guiding the mixture (12) into the treatment station (18), and heating means (20) for heating a fluid medium flowing in said treatment station (18). The heating means (20) is arranged so that the mixture (12) at said treatment station (18) is heated to a temperature within a predetermined temperature range below melting points of the plastic materials. When heated to that temperature and exposed in the treatment station (18) within a predetermined time period the contaminating plastic materials (16) change their physical characteristics to a form allowing separation a the subsequent material processing stage. The system is particularly useful for removing plastic fibers from natural fibers such as wool, cotton or silk.
