摘要： The invention relates to a process for producing an ammonium nitrate/fuel oil explosive. The process includes forming an emulsion by admixing an oil with water. Ozone is then introduced into the emulsion to obtain an ozonated emulsion. The ozonated emulsion is admixed with solid particulate ammonium nitrate such that the emulsion is absorbed into the ammonium nitrate. An ammonium nitrate/fuel oil explosive is thereby formed.

摘要： The present invention pertains to the fuel industry and more precisely relates to a hydrogen-containing fuel that also comprises up to 50 vol.% of carbon oxide. This fuel can be used in various types of power-generating systems or engines which operate according to the combustion principles, such as internal combustion engines, gas-turbine apparatus and industrial furnaces. This invention essentially relates to a fuel comprising inhibiting additives which include at least one hydrocarbon selected from the following homologous series: olefinic, aliphatic hydrocarbons with a standard structure or an iso-structure as well as cyclic hydrocarbons including aromatic hydrocarbons having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms in their molecule. These inhibiting additives may also consist in mixtures of two or more of said hydrocarbons. This fuel also includes a hydrogen-air combustible mixture which contains the synthesis product of hydrogen from ammonia. This fuel may also contain as hydrogen-air mixture an additional amount of up to 50 vol.% of carbon monoxide.

摘要： A composition capable of producing either solid propellant grains, liquid or gel monopropellants, all of which are electrically ignitable and capable of sustained controllable combustion at ambient pressure. Additional compositions capable of sustained controllable combustion at elevated pressures are described. Applications for the compositions disclosed herein are provided, and include among other applications use in small micro thrusters, large core-burning solid propellant gains, shaped explosives charges for military application, and pumpable liquids and gel monopropellants or explosives for military, commercial mining or gas and oil recovery. In alternative embodiments the above compositions may also incorporate an energetic nitrate polymer, bum rate modifiers, and/or metal fuel(s). The HIPEP formulation makes it possible to ignite and sustain combustion at ambient and vacuum conditions (a) without continuous electrical power and (b) while providing faster bum rates.
