    • Described herein are methods of improving plant tolerance to various stresses / growth challenges by application of a plant bio-stimulant composition comprising a mixture of lysed cellular components from at least one strain of bacteria and/or at least one strain of yeast, optionally diluted in a carrier and applied to at least one plant. Specifically, plant tolerance to abiotic stress, temperature extremes and transplantation are enhanced by application of the composition. One advantage of the methods described is that they use a naturally produced composition and do not require the use of synthetically produced chemicals. Further, the methods described avoid the need to breed plant varieties with the desired tolerance traits.

    • An efficient process for preparation of potassium thiosulfate (K 2 S 2 O 3 ) is described. Potassium hydroxide (KOH) and elemental sulfur (S) are converted to potassium polysulfide, which is subsequently oxidized. The process allows using specifically designed process conditions such as mole ratios of potassium hydroxide to sulfur, and temperature, to obtain an optimized formulation of desired polysulfide, and a specifically designed set of conditions such as temperature, pressure, rate and duration of the oxidant during the oxidation conditions, to obtain a relatively high concentration of soluble potassium thiosulfate product with high purity, with relatively low amounts of byproducts. The manufacturing process can either be a batch process or a continuous process utilizing Continuous Stirred Tank Reactors (CSTR). The CSTR process is dependent on several design parameters, including pressure, and temperature optimization to avoid product instability. The resulting potassium thiosulfate is a beneficial fertilizer with high potassium content as a 50% liquid source of potassium.

    • The present invention generally relates to stable suspension concentrates (SC) displaying shear thinning property and comprising: a water soluble salt, an electrolyte water thickening polymer (eg. xanthan gum or guar gum), an insoluble solid agrochemical and water. The water soluble salt can be an inorganic salt or a pesticide salt (eg. fertilizer or water soluble herbicide such as glyphosate, glufosinate, dicamba, MCPA or 2,4-D); the water thickening polymer is a water soluble polymer capable of fully hydrating and thickening the salt solution (eg. AGHRO DR-2000); and the insoluble solid agrochemical can be a cellulosic derivative MEHEC, a water insoluble pesticide (eg. atrazine, clothianidin or imidacloprid), a water insoluble growth regulator, a water insoluble micronutrient or mixtures thereof. The invention further relates to a method of producing said suspension comprising dissolving thickening polymer in water, adding water soluble salt and adding water insoluble agrochemical.
