    • Instead of blending cement, water, sand and other flow additives at the same time in the usual way, cement, compound and flow additive is thoroughly blended, and not until after that sand and water are blended in. The compound is comprised of silica and/or another material which can prevent the water from reaching the cement until after the casting. The compound is added in such a large amount that it can coat the cement particles and further fill out the voids in the concrete. Thereby the water binding number, vbt, can be reduced to about one half so that the packing is more dense and the structure of the concrete becomes similar to ceramics. The method according to the invention can be practised with mainly the usual machinery in cement factories without any substantial investments or other costs.
