摘要： A tamper-evident thermoplastic fitment (11a) having a spout (34a) and a closure (12) for said spout are welded to a polymer-coated paperboard or to a flexible plastic container via a flange (31a). The fitment and closure are molded simultaneously but with a substantial space between them. They are interconnected by elongates runner (42a) which is formed when molten plastic is conducted from the closure to the fitment. Upon retraction of the mold core, the closure is pulled into the spout until shoulders on the parts engage, whereupon the closure is stripped from the core. The runer comprises a tear tab which slides through an aperture (28) on the closure. When the parts engage, tangs (44a) on the tear tab slip through the aperture, making the assembly tamper-evident. The tab may be pulled by the consumer to open the container. The closure may be unscrewed from the spout.

摘要： A certified (e.g. U.S. Department of Transportation and United Nations) transportable, returnable, reusable, plastic, self-supporting, storage container for liquids, greases, prills, dry powders or any combination thereof, comprising a rigid, round, plastic vessel (20), molded in one piece, and a full-diameter lid (10) for the vessel having one large cap (13) and a smaller bung (13B). Preferably, these parts are molded out of a dicyclopentadiene polymer, using the reaction injection molding (RIM) process. The lateral wall (20A-B) of the vessel is inclined inwardly from top to bottom so as to define an upper truncated conical section (21A) and lower truncated conical section (21B) coaxial with the upper section. A recess (25) with a thick wall section (26) is formed near the bottom of lateral wall (20B) of the vessel and this recess can be tapped with a threaded drainage hole (27) to receive a threaded drain valve (30). The vessel's bottom (24) is sloped towards this recess to permit complete draining of the container's contents. The container may be mounted on a pallet member (40) or seated in a pallet tub (50).

摘要： Vacuum bottle stoppers for wine, a method of preserving wine, a method of serving wine from a bottle stored in a vacuum, all particularly suited for partially consumed bottles of wine are disclosed. Systems and methods are also disclosed for evacuating a partially consumed bottle of wine, filling the wine bottle head space with an inert or other gas and then storing the wine bottle while maintaining the inert or other gas in the bottle. The stopper has a vacuum valve in a vacuum indicator in a removable cap. The vacuum valve has a self-closing passageway due to the passageway traversing an elastomeric material. The vacuum indicator moves in response to vacuum and reveals a marking on a valve opener when a desired vacuum is achieved. The stopper may have a filter, which also aerates.
