    • An apparatus for removing dust on a plate surface comprises guide rails (12) provided in parallel to a plate cylinder (1), a slider (13) adapted for movement along the guide rails, a holder (18) supported by the slider, a moving body (19) supported by the holder and provided with a plurality of dust removing blades (28), and a drive device (31) for intermittently moving the moving body (19). A driving shaft (38) and a driven shaft (27) of the drive device are coupled to each other through coupling members (41, 42). Engaging jaws 41A of the coupling members are set such that the coupling members engage with each other when the dust removing blades are at a standby position.     • A dry cleaning system for removing dust and lint on the fly from blanket cylinders (3) in offset printing presses. The cleaning system includes a relatively small brush (17) mounted for rotation about an axis (19) substantially perpendicular to the rotational axis (9) of the blanket cylinder (3). In operation, the brush (17) can be reciprocally moved across the surface of the blanket cylinder (3) and selectively moved into and out of contact with the blanket cylinder (3). The contact pressure of the brush (17) is pneumatically controlled to maintain a predetermined, set pressure and the brush (17) automatically retracts should the pressure source fail. The system can be operated to clean the entire width of the blanket cylinder (3) or only the portion (51) of it actually being used to print. A vacuum pickup is included with a separately mounted housing and the entire cleaning system is carried on a unitary support structure that is removably secured at its ends for quick and easy installation and removal.

Für die erfindungsgemässe Reinigungsvorrichtung (1 ) ist kennzeichnend, dass der Waschapparat (4) an der dem Druckzylinder zugewandten Längsseite der Führungsschiene (2) verfahrbar gehalten ist und dass die Rotationsachse der zumindest einen Reinigungsbürste (8) zwischen den durch Ober- und Unterseite der Führungsschiene (2) gebildeten Ebenen angeordnet ist. Die erfindungsgemäße Reinigungsvorrichtung (1 ) kann derart platzsparend und kompakt ausgestaltet werden, dass diese auch unter beengten Platzverhältnissen, beispielsweise im Bereich einander benachbarter Druckzylinder, in einer Rotationsdruckmaschine untergebracht werden kann.
