A conveyor conveys the debris material along a conveyor path and an agitator bounces the conveyor to cause the lighter plastic to reposition to the top of the material on the conveyor. A suction tube end is positioned over the debris material following agitation to draw the plastic off the top of the material. The tube end is selectively adjustable to enable discriminate suction effect to draw off a maximum amount of plastic and a minimal amount of nonplastic recyclable debris.

摘要： A method of laying roofing felt containing bitumen which is solid at ambient temperature and softens at an increased temperature, in which method lengths (7, 8) are brought to overlap each other in overlap zones (11), and welded together by heating the bitumen to the softening temperature. According to the invention an electric current, which is generated by induction, is caused to pass through an electrically conducting heat-emitter (1) arranged within the overlap zone (11), to generate heat in the heat-emitter (1) and emit heat to opposing portions (17, 18) of the lengths (7, 8) so that the bitumen is brought to its softening temperature and the lengths (7, 8) are welded together at the opposing portions (17, 18) to form a tight, continuous overlap joint. A means for welding the lengths is also described for the purpose of which it includes one or two induction apparatus (21; 33) in addition to said heat-emitter (1).

摘要： The asphalt roofing material is delivered into a treatment chamber of a processor. Hot oil is passed through a jacket surrounding the treatment chamber. Heated asphalt forms a hot solid and/or a liquefied slurry. The hot solid and/or the liquefied slurry is then removed from the treatment chamber. The asphalt roofing material in the treatment chamber can be agitated to promote mixing. The asphalt is heated to a temperature in the range from 200 degrees Fahrenheit to 650 degrees Fahrenheit within the treatment chamber. The solid and/or liquefied slurry is milled after it has been removed from the treatment chamber. The solid and/or the liquefied slurry is cooled after it exits the treatment chamber, preferably to a temperature in the range of approximately 90 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The hot solid and/or the liquefied slurry is passed through a hammer mill after the hot solid and/or the liquefied slurry exits the treatment chamber to reduce the particle size of the solid particles.

摘要： Composite mixture materials made of recycled plastic, glass and rubber, and optionally, sand, gravel, coal combustion by-product and metal, and containing no petroleum distillates (unless a fire retardant or recycled asphalt pavement is used) are disclosed. Methods of using the composite mixture materials include making expansion joints in pavement, filling manhole cover recesses, filling potholes in pavement, making new pavements, and making panels, walls, blocks, impact protection walls, and other such structures. Methods of making the composite mixture materials include heating the components of the material in an inert gas environmentally friendly manner. Compressive pressure is applied to composite mixture materials used in making expansion joints, manhole cover recess fillers, and in filling potholes to build in an elastic strain to overcome both a composite material shrinkage on cooling solidification of the material and the thermal contraction of pavements, and in making the composite material for any other of the uses disclosed.

摘要： Resin or pitch is melted in a melt blender apparatus (11) and then loaded, into a heated jacketed holding tank (12). A pair of feed lines (14, 16) receives resin from the holding tank (12) and feeds an upper gear pump (15) and lower gear pump (17). A mixing enhancement such as a static mixer (18, 19) is located in each of the feed lines (14, 16) between the gear pumps (15, 17) and the resin delivery ends (25, 26) of the feed lines. The resin-melt feed lines may be equipped with pressure indicators (27, 28, 32, 34) and pressure relief valves (23, 24). The resin-melt feed lines may also be equipped with pump accumulators (31, 33). Resin melt pressure created by the gear pumps (15, 17) forces a piston inside the accumulator back to the desired position. The accumulators (31, 33) can also be used to maintain constant pressure in the feed stock. Resin can be recycled from the accumulators (31, 33) into the melt blender (11).
