The apparatus may include a support configured for rotation about a central axis, a carriage that may move along the support when the support rotates about the central axis such that the carriage may move along a first spiral path about the central axis, and an extrusion unit that may be supported by the carriage and may move along a second spiral path as the carriage moves along the first spiral path. The extrusion units may be configured to extrude a strip of material through an extrusion die as the extrusion unit moves along a previously extruded strip of material such that the extruded strip may be fused onto the previously extruded strip as the extruded and previously extruded strips pass the extrusion die.

摘要： A sheet welding machine comprising a wedge-shaped heater adapted to be put in heat-transmission contact with the edges of upper and lower sheets for thermally melting the edge, and a pair of upper and lower pressure rollers disposed in the proximity of the converging portion of the heater, wherein two sheets are continuously welded along their edges by the heater and pressure rollers. The sheet welding machine has a compressed air delivery pipe connected to a compressed air source, the delivery pipe projecting from the converging portion at the middle of the heater in the direction of travel of sheets. The front end of the delivery pipe extends through the nip between the pressure rollers and delivers compressed air forwardly of the direction of travel of sheets. The edges of the overlapping sheets are formed with two rows of continuous weld bands and are welded together. At the same time, a channel filled with compressed air is formed between the right and left weld bands. According to this welding machine, since welding can be accomplished while detecting leakage of air from the channel during welding, it is possible to specify defective welds and make repairs or the like immediately after occurrence of such defective welds.

Such seams may be used separately or selectively with a lined containment system having a plurality of liner panels covering at least a portion of the containment system bottom. 摘要： Process and device for measuring weld seam geometry in making lap, strip, wire or deposited metal seams in weldable materials which are joined by means of a hot-air nozzle or wedge or a heating wedge and then joined together by means of pressing components at a predetermined jointing pressure. The distance between the pressing components is contactlessly detected during jointing by sensors and the jointing travel is found as a measure of the quality of the weld seam from the difference between the total thickness of the unwelded material and the spacing of the pressing components. With pressure rollers used as the pressing components, magnets are rigidly secured to their bearing components and arranged in such a way that a magnetic field is generated between them. In said magnetic field there is a Hall effect sensor which generates an electric signal in proportion to the strength of the magnetic field and transmits it to an evaluation unit for further processing. The magnets and the Hall effect sensor are preferably arranged near the faces of the pressing components, with the auxiliary magnet and the Hall effect sensor cast in a sensor block. The process and device can be used for all materials, weld seams and hot air, hot air wedge or hot wedge welding equipment.
