摘要： The present invention relates to a method of jointing multilayer pipes and a pipeline formed by multilayer pipes. According to the method there is formed at least one aperture in the pipe wall at the joint, the aperture extending to through the wall from the non-conductive layer to the conductive layer, and the aperture is filled with conductive material, which forms a conductive bridge from the conductive layer through the non-conductive layer to the outside thereof for grounding of the conductive layer. By means of the invention, the pipes can be grounded without a change in the dimensions of the pipe or in the pressure rating of the pipe.

摘要： Improvements to electrofusion fittings that enable the integrity of a weld between an electrofusion fitting and a pipe lining (or stand¬ alone pipe) to be tested in the field, and corresponding methods of installation and testing. An electrofusion fitting (201) for joining sections of lined pipe (203a, 203b) has heating elements (207a) configured to create at least one weld between the electrofusion fitting (201) and a pipe lining (205a), and a channel (211) provides fluid access to a test region (215a) between the electrofusion fitting (201) and the pipe lining (205a) to allow leak testing to be performed. The channel (211) may be provided through the fitting (201) itself, or alternatively through the pipe lining. Methods of fabricating or laying pipeline may incorporate use of the improved fitting whether using length-by-length construction methods or joining subsequent reel-laid or towed-in pipe lengths. A closed bevel welding approach, permitting high speed automatic pipeline welding processes to be employed, is described in which the closed bevel is drilled through to allow access there through for providing leak testing and/or electrical power to the heating elements.

摘要： A method of forming a composite structure (50) can include providing a plurality of composite panels (10) of material, each composite panel (10) having a plurality of holes (26) extending through the panel. An adhesive layer (30) is applied to each composite panel (10) and an adjoining layer (40) is applied over the adhesive layer (30). 摘要： The present invention relates to a reinforcing sleeve which is substantially tubular and designed for placing inside a coupling pipe (22) in an assembly with the coupling pipe which forms part of a coupling (20). The sleeve is provided with a slit (5) extending at least in axial direction (7) of the reinforcing sleeve, and wherein the slit (5) is enclosed by slit edges (9) of the reinforcing sleeve. The slit edges define an intermediate space which is variable in that the sleeve takes a flexible and resilient form, wherein the dimensions and the form of the reinforcing sleeve are chosen such that the contour of the reinforcing sleeve can be placed inside a coupling pipe and there connects closely to an inner wall of the coupling pipe after placing. The reinforcing sleeve optionally comprises toothings for fixation to the coupling pipe. The present invention further relates to a method for welding an outer end of a multilayer conduit to the above stated assembly.
