    • A hollow multi-layered container comprises: an outer layer including a label and an inner layer, which is injection molded. The label has a barrier material that impedes one or more substances that emanate from a product from penetrating through the label, and the label displays information related to the product. The inner layer and the barrier material of the outer layer are substantially coextensive. For a container having a sidewall and an inclined shoulder extending inward from the sidewall, the label includes a primary segment covering the sidewall of the container and a plurality of shoulder pads covering the shoulder in at least approximately contiguous alignment with adjacent said shoulder pads. A method of inserting an in-mold label for an injection molded product into the mold, comprises the steps of: (a) inserting the label partially into a cavity bounded by a cavity mold part so that one end of the label extends from the cavity; and (b) upon closing the mold, pushing the label fully into the cavity by pushing against the label with a mold part that is moved toward the cavity when the mold is closed so that when the label is fully within the cavity, the lateral edges of the label are aligned with each other.

    • A method for arranging a label in a mould cavity of a mould, which mould cavity is delimited by an internal peripheral surface which determines a first axial axis of the mould cavity, comprises providing a mandrel with a peripheral wall which determines an axial direction and a peripheral direction. The peripheral wall determines a second axial axis. The peripheral wall is provided with a peripheral part having a shape which substantially corresponds to the shape of a part of the internal peripheral surface of the mould cavity. The peripheral wall comprises a non-convex part which extends in the axial direction of the peripheral wall of the mandrel. The label is arranged around the peripheral wall of the mandrel. The label comprises a first side edge part and a second side edge part. Arranging the label around the peripheral wall of the mandrel is accomplished in such a manner that the second side edge part, viewed in the peripheral direction of the mandrel, overlaps the first side edge part at the non-convex part of the peripheral wall of the mandrel. The mandrel with the label arranged around the peripheral wall thereof is introduced into the mould cavity. The label is transferred from the peripheral wall of the mandrel to the internal peripheral surface of the mould cavity. The mandrel and the mould are arranged with respect to one another in such a manner during transfer of the label from the peripheral wall of the mandrel to the internal peripheral surface of the mould cavity that the first axial axis of the internal peripheral surface of the mould cavity and the second axial axis of the peripheral wall of the mandrel are eccentric with respect to one another.

    • The invention relates to a method for the injection moulding of a body having at least one wall portion covered on the outside by a label, that comprises: a) using a moulding assembly (50) including two mobile parts, one of which at least includes a cavity for making said wall portion; b) using a pick-up means (10), a transfer means (20) and a deposition means (29) for the labels; c) actuating said transfer means so that the label is brought to the cavity and depositing said label in said cavity; d) removing said transfer means, and closing the moulding assembly in order to proceed with moulding; characterised in that it comprises using a machine including: A) a rotary platen (60) for supplying a plurality of work stations, and on which the moulding assembly is mounted; B) an injection press provided at a work station, the moulding assembly arriving in a closed and locked configuration at the station and being pressed against said injection press in order to fill the chamber; C) said transfer means (20) at an upstream station.
