    • Device for cutting to a precise thickness in the order of 1/100 DEG mm sections of reeds in order to obtain double reeds for wind instruments. Said device is comprised on the one hand of a fixing device (1) for fixing the sections of reeds intended to be planed, and on the other hand of a movable assembly (2) carrying a cutting blade (3) of which the motion is perfectly guided on a rail (4) and by a shaft (5). The adjustment of the thickness of the chip is provided by the rotation of the screw (6). The lateral positioning of the blade with respect to the reed axis is provided by the rotation of the drum (7) graduated in DEG /100 of mm. The thickness of the reed to be made is adjusted by means of a second drum (8) which is also graduated in DEG /100 of mm. The whole unit is firmly secured to a plate (9). The displacement of the movable assembly is easily performed manually by means of the handle (10). In a few planing passes, perfectly calibrated reeds are obtained.

    • A tool useful with a flexible profile molding, for example a window film securement article having a self-adhesive coating. The tool includes a housing, a blade assembly and a cutting plate. The housing defines a cavity. The blade assembly is coupled to the housing and includes a blade disposed within the cavity. The cutting plate is selectively mountable to the housing, and includes a first profile and an optional second profile projecting from opposite faces of a platform. When present, the second profile is different from the first profile. Each profile is configured to retain a flexible profile molding in a flexed cutting condition during a cutting operation. In a first cutting state, the cutting plate is arranged such that the first profile faces the blade. In an optional second cutting state, the second profile faces the blade. The blade can be flat, with the cutting plate profile(s) dictating an arrangement of the flexible profile molding conducive to forming a curved miter cut with the flat blade.

    • The present invention is directed to an automated manufacturing line for production of boxlike structures and components therefor from laminated or solid flat material by V grooving, folding and gluing to form the boxlike structure or component. The automated line includes two or more machines selected from lineal V groovers, continuous cross V groovers, edge folding and gluing machines and multiple scoring machines. Each of the machines is provided with fences and feeders for automatically guiding the workpiece through the automated line. The positioning of fences, feeders, cutting heads and applicators of each of the machines is fully adjustable by providing drive means to position the fence, feeder, cutting head and applicator according to a predetermined position required for the production of a particular boxlike structure or component. The drive means is controled by a programmed controller having the parameters of the boxlike structure or component and having a means to cause the drive means to be activated to position the fence, feeder, cutting head or applicator in the correct position for the production of the desired boxlike structure or component.
