    • The dripper and mini-spray (10) includes an inlet (12) and an outlet (16) coupled to a housing (14) which defines a substantially spherical, ellipsoidal, or cylindrical chamber. The chamber houses a ball (26) which can roll about the chamber freely, but which is too large to exit through either the inlet (12) or outlet (16). A whirlpool is caused by water or other liquids entering the chamber through the inlet (12) due to the particular orientation and position of the inlet (12) and the shape of the chamber. The whirlpool flushes debris from the chamber and pushes the ball (26) around the chamber for a predetermined period of time. The ball (26) then rests against the outlet (16) to substantially obstruct the passageway out in a pressure-compensated manner.

    • A rotary drive sprinkler comprising a housing (2) with a water inlet (8) for coupling to a water irrigation supply and an outlet nozzle (24). A drive shaft (18) is rotatably retained within the housing (2) and has a portion extending from the housing (2) through the outlet nozzle (24), around which water is adapted to flow. A rotary distribution member (28) is fixedly articulated to the portion of the shaft (18) and has at least one deflection surface (32) in stream communication with the outlet nozzle (24). The housing (2) also accomodates a rotary drive mechanism (10) for rotating the drive shaft (18) and a speed regulating mechanism for regulating the speed of rotation of the distribution member (28). The arrangement is such that the sprinkler is devoid of any dynamic seals.

    • A novel water discharging device capable of achieving a water discharge of a wide range and an economization of water without using an electric drive device. A water discharge body (10) is so assembled in a swirl chamber (4) with its water discharge port (11) confronting the outside of the swirl chamber (4) that a force receiving portion (12) can oscillate in a position inclined in the swirl chamber (4). A swirling flow thus established in the swirl chamber (4) is caused to make a flow velocity difference around the force receiving portion (12), and a force generated on the basis of the flow velocity difference is exerted upon the force receiving portion (12) to oscillate the water discharge body (10) in the inclined position in the swirl chamber (4) thereby to discharge the cleaning water in the swirl chamber (4) from the water discharge port (11).

    • The spray plate (2) of the shower spray head (10) has at least one internal endless trackway (22) of channel or groove form in communicating register with a series of spray emission outlet openings (20) and receives for travelling sliding movement therein by water supply flow pressure a valve member or slug (21). Dependent on the length of the slug (21) one or more outlet openings (20) are momentarily closed in a successive manner as the slug (21) travels around the trackway (22) which interrupts the outlet spray emission in droplet form for providing a rain or pulsating effect emission. A plurality of trackways (22) may be provided in a concentric or similar arrangement each receiving a slug (21). The slugs (21) may travel in opposite directions. Stops means (4) having a pin or bar (40) is externally operable (44) to obstruct the or each trackway (22) and so stop the slug (21) for providing a continuous outlet spray emission. Release operation of the pin (40) reverts back to the rain or pulsating effect emission. The or each trackway (22) may follow a circular or non-circular path including triangular or oblong arrangements. The valve member may be of ball or roller form (210) or a series thereof which may be interlinked.
