摘要： A virtual golf training and gaming system and method are disclosed. According to one aspect of the invention, real-time shot information obtained from a trackable golf ball is compared with and used to determine a correlation with one or more training shots displayed to a golfer over a display, and wherein the correlation is used to provide training advice and assistance to the golfer. According to another aspect of the invention, the real time shot information is converted into one or more game parameters which can then be used within the game environment of a virtual game. According to yet another aspect of the invention, the real-time shot information is used to determine an initial shot location for a golf shot and to identify the golfer based on the initial shot location, and this identification can be used in connection with the virtual training and/or gaming system and method.

摘要： An apparatus for uniquely identifying a golf ball at a target includes a simulated golfing green having one or multiple target area apertures therein. A ball collector is mounted under each aperture. A ball identification means cooperates with the ball collector for identifying uniquely identified game balls from non-uniquely identified golf balls and transmits identity information corresponding to each game ball of the game balls to a remote processing station for correlating the identity of a golfer with the identity information. A surveillance means cooperates with the first target area so as to provide for remote monitoring of the first target area. A first signal means is provided for signalling the golfer and a remote monitor when a uniquely identified game ball has entered the aperture. A first sensor means is provided for detecting when a uniquely identified game ball lands in the first target area and for signalling the golfer and a remote monitor upon such detection.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a golfing game and the apparatus for accomplishing the same. The game apparatus includes a driving range (12) having a tee area (13) and a target or series of targets (16). Using all the skill he possesses, the player(s) strike(s) the ball toward the target(s) attempting to reach the target on one stroke. Upon reaching the target in one stroke a verification system signals the validity of the ball entering the target. After the ball entering the target is declared valid, a notification is activated which alerts the other players and personnel on the driving range. Immediately, thereafter the winning player is provided with additional rewards.

The height selectable tee consists of a sleeve bearing collar (4) located remotely from a mounted tee member (5) on an arm (3). The height selectable tee may comprise a number of integrally formed arms each with its own mountable tee member of differing heights. A desirable teeing height may be selected when used on any driving range mat, which have soft rubber tees of the incorrect height.
