摘要： Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a sole portion, a front portion, a back portion, a hosel portion, a first interior cavity, and a hosel transition portion between the first interior cavity and the hosel portion. The golf club head may include a second interior cavity extending into the hosel transition portion and connected to the first interior cavity. The body portion may include a port connected to the first interior cavity. The first interior cavity may be filled with a polymer material from the port. The golf club head may include a mass portion located at or below a horizontal midplane of the body portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

摘要： A golf club has a club head forming a generally hollow body having a generally planar front wall for impacting a ball, a rear wall opposite to the front wall, two side walls, a top wall and a bottom wall surrounding a hollow interior. A tubular shaft hosel extends upwardly from the top wall of the club head and an upstanding center wall is located between the side walls and extending rearwardly from the front wall so as to transfer forces between walls. A portion of the hosel is connected to the top wall and the center wall so as to transfer forces therebetween. The front edge of the center wall can be recessed away from the front wall to allow some flexing of the front wall on impact.

摘要： A method and apparatus for beneficially controlling the impact between a club head and a golf ball are described. A golf club head (such as on a driver, iron, or putter) has a body and a face mechanically supported thereon, wherein the face and body are elastically tailored to create beneficial face motion and deformation at impact. The tailored clubhead compliance is shown to influence impact properties and resulting ball parameters such as speed, direction and spin rates resulting from the impact event between the face of the club and the golf ball. Several embodiments are presented for controlling ball spin through design of the elastic and dynamic response of the face and body under impact loading.

摘要： The invention relates to improved wood and iron golf clubs. The inventive improved face for a golf-club head is embodied such that is multilayer and provided with cavities. Said face is made of titanium alloy sheets by means of superplastic shaping and pressure welding in the form of a structure which is provided with a covering and a filler forming strengthening ribs. The covering comprises a face for striking a ball and has a variable thickness increasing from the periphery towards the centre thereof. Said improved face for golf-club head can be produced by a method which uses at least three workpieces made of a titanium alloy sheets. One of the workpieces has a variable thickness. Said workpieces are assembled in the form of a packet in such a way that the variable thickness workpiece is external and are welded to each other in predefined areas by means of pressure welding. Afterwards, the cavity between the workpieces is sealed and formed in a die by means of a working medium at a controlled pressure within a heat-rate interval of superplastic deformation as far as a predetermined profile of the filler is formed by at least one internal workpiece, and the coverings are shaped by the external workpieces. The variable thickness workpiece forms a covering provided with the face for striking a ball.
