摘要： The present invention relates to a self-neutralising type of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) preparation for use in dentistry. More specifically, it relates to a self-neutralising type of calcium hydroxide preparation which is formulated in such a way that it can be used in dentistry by being mixed, in a cement clinker, with an active siliceous substance, bismuth oxide (Bi2O5), silica, sulphur trioxide and aluminium oxide/ferric oxide and the like. One aspect of the present invention provides a self-neutralising type of calcium hydroxide preparation comprising an active siliceous substance and bismuth oxide, and this self-neutralising type of calcium hydroxide preparation is characterised in that it comprises silica, sulphur trioxide and aluminium oxide/ferric oxide.

摘要： The invention relates to implant materials that are based on hydraulic cements in the form of one or more pastes, suspensions or dispersions that contain mineral and/or organic and/or organomineral solids and that react, when combined or when reacted with an aqueous liquid, to a solid in a cement-type initiation reaction. The invention also relates to the use of these materials as technical, medical-technical and/or pharmaceutical products, especially as bone cements, bone replacement materials, bone glues, dental filling materials and implantable active ingredient carriers. The implant materials according to the invention in the form of one or more pastes, suspensions or dispersions that contain mineral and/or organic and/or organomineral solids are formulated in an excipient liquid in such a manner that the pastes, suspensions or dispersions are stable in storage at normal conditions over a prolonged period of time and that they react, when combined with an aqueous liquid or when added to an aqueous liquid, in a cement-type initiation reaction and set to a solid. The excipient liquid of the mineral paste, suspension or dispersion is substantially water-free, and water immiscible or insoluble or hardly soluble in water in the chemical sense.

摘要： Improved compositions for treating dental pulp and root canals comprising a mixture of particulate materials with water-based liquids containing polyvinyl pyrrolidone are provided. Homopolymers and copolymers of polyvinyl pyrrolidone can be used. Optionally, the composition may contain surfactants, humecatants, stabilizers, and other additives. Examples of particulate powders include mixtures of calcium silicate, calcium aluminate, calcium sulfate, and hydroxyapatite. The compositions are particularly suitable for sealing and obturating dental root canals and root apices. The composition provides a stable barrier to bacterial and fluid leakage in the root canal system of a tooth.

摘要： A hydraulic cement for biomedical applications. The cement sets in-situ, hardening when exposed to water to produce nano-dispersed composite of calcium-silicate-hydrate gel mixed with hydroxyapatite. In comparison with prior cements, the composition provides high biocompatibility, high bioactivity and high biomechanical strength, due to the composite structure of the calcium silicate hydrate reinforced with co-precipitated particles of hydroxyapatite. Biocompatibility is also increased due to an absence of aluminum and magnesium in the composition. The cement is suitable for variety of applications, including dental implants, bone fixation, and bone repair.

摘要： The present invention relates to ceramic precursor compositions and chemically bonded ceramic (CBC) materials, especially Ca-based, and a composite biomaterial suitable for orthopaedic applications. The CBC-system includes a binding phase (chemical cement) and additional phases with specified chemistry imparting to the biomaterial the ability of initial strength followed by interaction with the body tissue including body liquid, to form a resorbable or partly resorbable biomaterial. The ceramic precursor composition comprises at least one silicate with Ca as the main cation with a resorption rate less or equal to that of the bone in-growth rate. Said silicate will form the binding phase of the cured material. The invention also relates to implants and surface coated devices. The cured material exhibits a compressive strength exceeding 100 MPa.
