摘要： A communion dispenser comprises a small cup (10) for containing juice or wine and has a flat upper edge or flange (12). The cup is closed by a two-part lid (14a, 14b) within which communion bread in the form of an edible wafer (20) is received. The top layer (14a) of the lid (14) is first removed to access the wafer (20) and the lower layer (14b) of the lid (14) is later removed so that a juice or wine within the cup (10) may be taken. The upper and lower layers (14a, 14b) of the lid (14) comprise folded over portions of a paper-foil or paper-plastic material that are heat sealed to one another and each have a pull-tab (16, 24) thereon which are grasped to enable the layers (14a, 14b) to be peeled from one another and the upper flange (12) of the cup.

A first tab is defined on an edge the first layer. A second tab is defined on an edge of the second layer and extends over the first tab and beyond a distal end of the first tab to facilitate sequential removal of the layer elements and sequential access to a component in the second cavity and the component in the first cavity.
