    • The invention refers to a conveying arrangement which conveys loose material in a conveying direction (CD), in particular agricultural material. Several knives (Kn.1) of a cutting assembly (KnH, Kn.1) are mounted below a cutting area guiding surface (CAB).The material is first conveyed along the cutting area guiding surface (CAB) and afterwards along a furtherguiding surface (PPB). Both guiding surfaces (CAB, PPB) are mechanically supportedby means of a connecting assembly (BuA.l, cS.l, BlA.l). A positioning means (Cyl.l) can pivot this connecting assembly (BuA.l, cS.l, BlA.l) upwards and downwards. This pivotal movement causes both guiding surfaces (CAB, PPB) to be moved upwards and downwards. The cutting area guiding surface (CAB) together with the cutting assembly (KnH, Kn.1) can be shifted laterally,i.e. perpendicular to the conveying direction (CD), and is guided during this lateral movement.

    • In a cutter assembly with cutters (10) pivotally mounted on a common cutter shaft (11), each cutter, spaced from said shaft, is rotatably connected with a link (22) which itself is rotatably mounted on the end of a release arm (24). This, together with other release arms, is pivotally mounted on a common release shaft (25) and urged by a spring (26) to engage an abutment (34). This abutment is adjustable and determines the angle (V) which the link forms with the release arm (24) when the knife is in its normal working position. The angle (V) in turn determines the force to be applied to the cutter e.g. by a foreign body for the cutter to pivot back from the working position. When the force is terminated, the spring (26) returns the release arm, the link and the cutter to the normal position.
