摘要： A composition for forming a hydrophilic coating includes an organic binder having an average particle size from about 1 to about 100 nm and an inorganic binder having an average particle size from about 1 to about 40 nm. The composition further includes an inorganic photocatalyst that catalyzes an oxidation-reduction reaction. Characteristically, the photocatalyst includes a photocatalytic metal oxide having an average particle size from about 1 to about 50 nm. Advantageously, coatings formed from the composition have improved stain resistance, low contact angle, and resistance to dirt adherence, while maintaining a clear optical character.

摘要： An improved pigment spacing composition and method of manufacture. The method comprises dispersing a plurality of titanium dioxide particles in a first dispersion medium, preparing a nanoparticle pigment and mixing the nanoparticle pigment and the dispersion of titanium dioxide. A coating composition wherein the pigment particles are spaced more uniformly resulting in improved coating properties. In another embodiment, the present invention relates to a composition having nanoparticles interacting with pigmentary titanium dioxide to provide for more uniform spacing of the titanium dioxide.

Paint color sample cards are arranged on a two-dimensional display surface such that colors of similar hue are categorized or grouped together (e.g., along a column). Groups of paint color sample cards having different base hue or color are arranged such that there is a gradual transition between paint colors from one region to the next region. For instance, the colors of sample cards may gradually change from column to column across a two-dimensional display. Additionally, within each color group, paint color sample cards are arranged from most chromatic to least chromatic colors. Another aspect of the invention provides for accent color sample cards to be displayed adjacent to the various base color groups.
