    • Embodiments usable within the scope of the present disclosure relate generally to a connector apparatus and methods usable to securely and repeatedly connect a sub-sea fluid conduit to another fluid conduit or well equipment, such as a manifold, a wellhead, a BOP, or other associated items. The disclosed embodiments further relate to systems and methods usable to remotely disconnect the fluid conduit and automatically shut off fluid flow therethrough. The male connector includes a flow control valve adapted to open upon connection with a female connector and to close upon disconnection from the female connector. The female connector is adapted to actuate the flow control valve of the male connector to the open position. The male connector includes a biasing member that actuates the flow control valve of the male connector to the closed position.

    • The present invention comprises a pumping system operable at the surface (e.g., on a surface platform) to increase or restore hydrocarbon flow from a deep water or ultra deep water subsea environment to a surface production facility. The system comprises a primary conduit coupled to a Y-block splitting into two secondary conduits, one being open and free of obstruction, the other containing a progressing cavity pump coupled to a motor which acts as the prime mover for the pump system. The system may also comprise one or more valves between the primary conduit and the Y-block, one or more valves and between the secondary conduits and the Y-block. An emergency quick disconnect may also be used as part of the system between the Y-block and the secondary conduits.

    • Fluid connector assembly and methods usable to establish a sealed fluid connection. The connector assembly comprises a female union connector having an axial bore extending therethrough, internal threads, and an internal shoulder. The connector assembly also comprises two male connectors, each male connector having an axial bore extending therethrough and external threads. The connector assembly further comprises two ring- shaped seals adapted to form a fluid seal between the female union and the male connectors. The first seal contacts the first side of the internal shoulder and a front end of the first male connector to form a fluid seal therebetween. The second seal contacts the second side of the internal shoulder and a front end of the second male connector to form a second fluid seal therebetween.
