    • The invention relates to a device for providing individual intermediate layers (2) for a palletizing robot which picks up the individual intermediate layer during palletizing and arranges it between specific layers of objects to be palletized. The aim of the device is to allow the palletizing robot to pick up at any time, if required, an already separated intermediate layer without carrying with it other intermediate layers adhering at the bottom side of this intermediate layer. In order to achieve this aim, a vertically displaceable receiving device (4), which can receive the top intermediate layer of a stack (5) of intermediate layers in such a manner that at least a partial region of the top intermediate layer is lifted from the stack, and a separating device (6), which can be displaced between the top intermediate layer and the remaining stack, are provided, the separating device separating the top intermediate layer from the stack in such a manner that it can be picked up in the separated state by a palletizing robot after having been released by the receiving device.
