    • The invention relates to a plug-in connection for systems using a pressurized medium, comprising a female piece (2) that has a location hole (4) for a plug piece (6), and a retaining element (10) which is mounted in the location hole (4) in order to prevent the inserted plug piece (6) from being released, the retaining element (10) being radially locked into a retaining groove (12) of the plug piece (6) by means of a radially inward locking force (FR). The retaining element (10) is mounted in the location hole (4) to be movable in an axial direction between a fixing zone and a locking zone in such a way that the retaining element (10) is moved in the direction of insertion from the fixing zone into the locking zone when the plug piece (6) is inserted. In the locking zone, the retaining element (10) can be radially moved against and by means of the locking force (FR) in order to be locked into the retaining groove (12). After moving the plug piece (6) back into the fixing zone along with the retaining element (10), the retaining element (10) is prevented from being moved outward. An additional, radially inward force component (Frad) is applied to the retaining element (10) in order to increase the locking force (FR).
