    • The invention comprises an automotive seat base and an automotive having the same, teh seat base being made from a polymer in which microcellular structure is induced by gas in the core of the polymer from which the automotive seat base is made. Further, the automotive seat base comprises a further reinforcing feature to compensate for reduction in the polymer material on account of gas introduction structural feature/s that would allow less ribbing without reduction in mechanical strength. The said reinforcing feature may be chosen from a structural feature. In one embodiment of this invention, the said structural feature is a box structure (Figure 2). The automotive comprising an automotive seat base made from a polymer in which microcellular structure may be a two wheeler or a three wheeler or more wheeler. The two wheeler may be a motor cycle or a scooter or a moped.
