The retaining member (a) has a retaining state in which the retaining member is configured to retain the tissue anchor in the anchor-storage zone, and (b) is configured, by moving in response to a proximally-directed force applied to the tissue anchor, to allow the tissue anchor to leave the anchor-storage zone in response to the proximally-directed force. The proximally-directed force is greater than a pre-determined threshold force. Other embodiments are described.

    • An anchor deployment tool (30) includes a flexible outer tube (34), within which is positioned a flexible inner shaft (36), and a rotating deployment element (38) coupled to a distal end (39) of the shaft. The tool (30) is configured to provide an anchor storage area (40), which initially stores a plurality of tissue anchors (32), such that the inner shaft (36) passes through channels of the anchors along entire longitudinal lengths of the anchors (32), and the anchors are within the outer tube (34). The rotating deployment element (38) is configured to directly engage the anchors (32) in the anchor storage area (40) one at a time, advance each of the anchors while engaged in a distal direction, and deploy each of the anchors through the distal tube end (42) and into tissue of a subject. Other embodiments are also described.
