摘要： Devices, apparatus, systems and methods of volatizing insecticide-impregnated strips, such as a dichlorvos resin strip, using heat that can treat a closed and sealed space unit such as a room or building for bed bugs and other undesirable insects. At least one volatile impregnated strip can be positioned in a cage sandwiched between heating members such as electrical heating elements and heated plates. Temperature and time for heating can be controlled. Fans and blowers can help circulate the volatized air so that occupants can return safely to use the space unit within approximately 24 to approximately 36 hours.

摘要： Surface ground kits for controlling arthropods such as termites (1395), carpenter ants, fire ants and roaches. A chamber (1310) having an edible food source (1340) on a wood stake is pressed into the ground. The chamber can be cylindrical disc shaped and can be non-opaque so that the interior contents can be viewed. The chamber can have a layer of an edible non-toxic material such as foam and have a layer of non-edible foraging matrix that contains the slow-acting non-repellent toxicant. Arthropods (1395) can be attracted by the edible portion of the ground insertable member (1370) and can pass through the edible foam type layer and forage into the layer containing the non-edible material mixed with the slow-acting non-repellent toxicant back to their galleries and colonies (1390) where the arthropods (1395) are killed over time. Snap tops, screwable threads, and hinged tops allow the chambers (1310) to be monitored and/or reusable.

Chambers (2800) can be mounted on a house (2900), a building, a shed, a foundation (2910), a fence, trees and planters. Peel and stick tape and hook and loop fasteners, nails, screws and stake type members can be used as fasteners. The chamber (2800) can be a cylindrical disc shape and can be non-opaque so that interior contents can be viewed. The chamber can be opened with a removable lid and include an edible non-toxic material layer of foam. On top of the edible layer, can be a non-edible foraging matrix that contains the slow-acting non-repellent toxicant and is visible through the top of the chamber. Arthropods pass through the edible foam top layer and forage into the layer containing the non-edible material which is mixed with the slow-acting non-repellent toxicants. Arthropods take the toxicant back to their colonies (2960) where the arthropods will be killed over time.

Additionally, the gasket devices can be used for protecting gaps and spaces between other permanent fixtures such behind plates such as but not limited to electrical sockets, switches, cables, telephone jacks thermostats, and the like. Additionally, the gasket devices can be used behind ventilation vent covers, and the like. Finally, the gasket covers can be used about wall mounted stems of on hanging fixtures such as lights, chandeliers, and ceiling fans, and the like. Packaging and methods of attaching the gasket devices to fixture connection portions can be done above, and/or below the fixtures. Perforated and/or pre-cut arthropod deterring gaskets can have sections punched out to allow the one gasket use for different applications such as for electrical receptical covers, telephone jack covers, and cable jack covers. Additionally, a single arthropod deterring gasket can have different punch out sections to allow for use with different diameter pipes, lines, support stems, and the like.
