摘要： The invention provides a method for softening of water comprising dissolving/dispersing a water soluble alkali metal carbonate, a seed for precipitating calcium carbonate, a sequestrant selected from amino polycarboxylic acid, amino polyphosphonic acid, nitrilo triacetic acid or salts thereof; wherein not more than 20 wt% of the sequestrant dissolves in the water in the first 30 seconds after the dissolution/dispersion of said water soluble alkali metal carbonate and said seed for precipitating calcium carbonate. The invention also provides an effective builder composition for use in a detergent composition comprising (i) a water soluble alkali metal carbonate; (ii) a seed for precipitating calcium carbonate; and (iii) a sequestrant selected from amino polycarboxylic acid, amino polyphosphonic acid, nitrilo triacetic acid or salts thereof wherein said sequestrant is present in the form of granules having a particle size of 0.5 to 2 mm so as to achieve delayed release of the sequestrant.

摘要： This invention relates to a method and composition for treatment of a substrate. It particularly relates to a method and composition for treatment of a fabric substrate for imparting repellency of aqueous and oily soils. It is an object of the present invention is to provide a method of treating a substrate to render the substrate more hydrophobic and to provide repellence to both oily and aqueous soils and stains. It has been found that hydrophobicity and stain-resistance can be imparted to a substrate by contacting the substrate with soap and a water-soluble compound of trivalent or tetravalent metal in presence of water under specific range of pH, while the further addition of a quaternary silicone oil imparts oily soil repellence.

摘要： The present invention relates to a composition and a method for treating substrates, such as fabrics; particularly to make the substrate stain repellent and easier to clean upon the subsequent wash. The invention has been developed primarily for use on fabrics, and will be described hereinafter with reference to these applications. It is an object of the present invention to provide stain repellence to a fabric. It is still another object of the invention to provide a composition that provides improved perfume delivery to the fabric. It has been found that improved perfume delivery is obtained in compositions comprising a fatty acid, a water soluble salt of Aluminium and a non-ionic polymer. Improved stain repellence is obtained when the HLB of the polymer is between 12 and 18.

摘要： The present invention relates to a pre-treatment composition for the cleaning of fabrics, especially a sprayable foamable liquid cleaning composition. It is an object of the present invention to provide a sprayable foamable liquid cleaning composition for the pretreatment of fabric which has superior soil removal properties for a wide variety of stains. It is yet another object of the present invention to provide a foamable cleaning composition having a pH of less than 4which provides good stain removal benefits without compromising on the stability of the isotropic solution or foam structure. We have found that a foamable liquid composition providing a stable foam which exhibits dilutability, homogeneity in solution, excellent cleaning performance on various stain types can be prepared when higher levels of solvents and low pH are combined with specific amounts of alkoxylated anionic surfactant, nonionic surfactant, amphoteric surfactant and at specific ratios between the surfactant and solvents.

A single product that works across all the different kind of stains is still desired. It is an object of the present invention to provide a composition for aqueous/bleachable, oily, particulate and enzymatic stain removal. Surprisingly, it has been found that aqueous/bleachable, oily, particulate and enzymatic stain removal from fabric can be achieved by a composition comprising a surfactant system of an anionic and dianionic surfactants where the anionic surfactant is selected from the group of alkyl alkoxylated sulfates and said dianionic surfactant is chosen from the group of diphenyl oxide disulfonate having a carbon chain length ranging from C6 to C18, a fat solubilizing oil and hydrogen peroxide.
