The upstream friction ring (13) is urged against the disk (1) by a force generated by the inlet gas pressure acting on the rear of a plastic ring (44).     • Rotary heat exchanger for effecting a thermal exchange between the inlet and outlet gases of a gas turbine, comprising a cellular ceramic disk (1), an upstream air inlet tube (6) and a downstream inlet tube (7) on either side of the disk (1) and including friction rings (13, 14) at their ends in contact with the side surfaces of the disk. Springs inserted between the disk (1) and a rim (2) for rotating the disk radially precompress the ceramic material and frictionally lock the rim (2) to the disk (1). Channels (32, 23, 41) connect the inlet path (A) with a sealed peripheral chamber (64) located between said rim (2) and said disk (1) to add to the compression exerted by the disk (1) a component corresponding to the inlet pressure. The heat exchanger of the invention is useful for the motorization of trucks or vehicles and for optimizing the prestressing of the disk.
