    • The invention relates to a suspension arm actuator comprising a suspension arm which is designed as a two-arm lever and is mounted between the lever arms such that it can be pivoted about an axis extending perpendicularly thereto. At its end side, one of the lever arms supports a sensor, in particular a scanning device comprising an optical head having a focal lens, and comprises an elastically bendable region formed of at least one leaf spring and intended for a motion of the optical head in focusing direction and perpendicularly to the pivot plane of the suspension arm. In order to initiate said motion, a magnetic drive is allocated to said lever arm. The other one of the lever arms is provided with a component of a magnetic drive for a swivel motion about the axis. It solves the problem of designing such a suspension arm such that the free end of the lever arm supporting the optical head has a lower tendency towards mechanical resonances, associated with a reduced en- ergy consumption. To achieve this, the at least one leaf spring (4) which extends in longitudinal direction in relation to the suspension arm (1) and is arranged in parallel to the pivot plane thereof is embedded in the sections (I.1 and I.2) of the lever arm (I) supporting the optical head (3), said sections (I.1 and I.2) delimiting the bendable region (5), wherein said leaf spring (4) is enclosed by a damping means (DM) at least in one partial region arranged adjacent to each of said sections (I.1 or I.2).

    • The invention relates to a suspension arm actuator for an optical scanning device, comprising a suspension arm designed as a two-arm lever and mounted between the lever arms such that it can be pivoted about an axis extending perpendicularly thereto. On its end side, one of the lever arms supports a scanning head and comprises an articulated region, preferably an elastically bendable region, for a motion of the scanning head in focusing direction and perpendicular in relation to the pivot plane of the suspension arm. The other lever arm is provided with a component of a magnetic drive for a swivel motion about the axis. In addition, the suspension arm actuator comprises a magnetic drive for moving the optical head in focusing direction. As a result, the suspension arm is designed such that the latter's lever arm that supports the scanning head is designed simply and without any further functional elements and is, therefore, reduced in weight. To achieve this, the magnetic drive for moving the optical head (3) in focusing direction is allocated to the lever arm (II) which comprises a component (4) of the magnetic drive for the swivel motion about the axis (PA). The coils for the magnetic drives are, in particular, designed as printed coils (4 and 5 respectively).

The pivot bearing (12) comprises a pivot pin (10) which is attached to the support (3) and a bearing bushing (2) which is attached to the suspension arm, in order to initiate a tracking motion and a focusing motion of the suspension arm. At one of its ends, the suspension arm supports a sensor, in particular an optical head having a focal lens, and, at its other end, comprises components for a magnetic drive for swiveling the sensor. The invention solves the object of designing such a suspension arm actuator such that the latter exhibits less tendency towards mechanical resonances and is less laborious by a damping material (11) being arranged at least in a partial region between the pivot pin (10) and the bearing bushing (2). In a preferred exemplary embodiment, the pivot pin (10) concentrically bears against the bearing bushing (2) in a region that is shorter than the thickness of the suspension arm (1), and the partial region in which the damping material (11) is placed is arranged on the side facing the support (3).
