摘要： The invention relates to a composite artificial grass fibre for use in an artificial lawn, in particular an artificial grass sports field, which artificial grass fibre is made up at least of several monofilament fibres. The invention further relates to an artificial lawn, in particular an artificial grass sports field built up of a substrate to which composite artificial grass fibres according to the invention are attached. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a composite artificial grass fibre according to the invention, in particular for an artificial lawn, which comprises the steps of manufacturing several monofilament fibres and forming said several monofilament fibres into a composite artificial grass fibre. The object of the invention is to provide a composite artificial grass fibre as well as an artificial grass sports field comprising such an artificial grass fibre, which makes it possible to apply and distribute infill material between the composite fibres in a simpler manner without the eventual playing characteristics of the artificial grass sports field being adversely affected. 摘要： The invention relates to a synthetic fibre of the monofilament type for use in an artificial lawn, which synthetic fibre has a width greater than the thickness of the synthetic fibre. The invention also relates to an artificial lawn consisting at least of a backing to which one or more synthetic fibres according to the invention are attached. The object of the present invention is to prevent a weak synthetic fibre as mentioned above which remains prone to splitting and fracture and to provide an improved synthetic fibre for use in an artificial lawn which is sufficiently rigid yet flexible as well and which has the capacity to straighten again so as to be able to take up the varying loads during play, and which is also sufficiently wear- resistant and sliding-friendly, so that the fibre will less tend to assume a flat orientation or split or fracture, and which furthermore does not increase the risk of injury or have an adverse effect on the playing characteristics. According to the invention, the synthetic fibre is characterised in that the synthetic fibre has a curved section and a thickness/width ratio such that the synthetic fibre will buckle locally upon being subjected to an external load. In this way unnecessary distortion of the fibre - as in the aforesaid prior art fibres - is prevented, so that the fibre will have a longer life and fracture or splitting of the fibre is prevented.

摘要： The invention relates to an artificial turf suitable for sports fields consisting at least of a substrate to which first artificial grass fibres are attached and of a granular infill, which is provided between said first artificial glass fibres and which is made of a recyclable synthetic material. The invention furthermore relates to a granular infill for use in an artificial turf suitable for sports fields. The use of an infill in artificial grass sports fields has a number of drawbacks. Not only is the construction of such a artificial grass sports field more labour-intensive than the construction of a natural grass sports field, but an artificial grass sports field provided with an infill requires subsequent maintenance as well. The initially uniform distribution of the granular infill can be disturbed by intensive usage. Furthermore it has become apparent that the weather influences affect the properties of the infill with the passage of time, which has a negative effect on the quality of the infill and thus on the playing characteristics of the artificial grass sports field. The object of the invention is to provide an artificial glass sports fields that does not exhibit the above drawbacks. According to the invention, the artificial turf is characterized in that one or more additives have been added to the granular synthetic infill for improving the playing characteristics of the artificial turf.

摘要： The invention relates to a synthetic fibre, in particular a synthetic fibre for use in an artificial lawn. The invention also relates to an artificial lawn comprising such a synthetic fibre. According to the invention the synthetic fibre is to that end characterised in that it is, at least partially, made of a biodegradable material. By using a "bio-based" or biodegradable material as the raw material, the fibre thus obtained can be produced in large amounts from a biological natural project, whose availability is guaranteed also in the future. In addition, the use of a biodegradable fibre in an artificial lawn has the advantage that the fibre can be broken down over time without causing environmental pollution and contamination, unlike crude oil- based synthetic fibres, which remain present permanently, also after use, and thus burden the environment to a significant degree.
